s decided on her own many months before spring that she wanted to play softball. so for christmas, she got a bat, glove, and softball--and we played together with them from time-to-time. finally, in early may, her softball season started. and she was very excited.
the other girls on her team were not very experienced either, but they had fun together. it was especially fun when they could play other teams that were about at their level (there were some teams in the league that seemed to be about semi-professional!). 
here s got on base.
and she made it home to score a run!
