here, s sitting on the rail at the yurt.

b holding the macaw head-shaped rock he found.

the next morning, we didn't have a lot of time so we just went to south beach. b informed us that it was a great beach, but we decided to go there since it was right next to us. we got down there and started to walk around. then, i spotted a petrified clam shell, and that's when everything started to change. what had previously been a ho-hum beach became one of our favorites. we found lots of petrified clam shells! we even found a few snail shells.

we spent about an hour at the beach. just before we left, b saw these people riding horses on the beach.
from here, we drove to portland with just enough time to eat a quick lunch, return our car, and make our flight. our flight back was uneventful, and we made it home to our house by around 8pm. we had a great vacation. it was so nice to go back to oregon. but it was still nice to get home.
