oregon 3:cape arago tide pools

the next morning, w went with jim and ada to go clamming again, and b and i went out to cape arago to go to the tide pools (s opted to sleep).

b and i got up pretty early to get out to capre arago at the right time.

we walked down to the pretty little beach down there. judy and i agreed that this is the best tide pool spot in the area.

there was a lot of driftwood down there.

we headed over to the right side of the beach and started walking on the rocks over there to see what we could find.

the rocks had a lot of plants growing on them that were very slick. i am relived that neither one of us ever fell.

this is a beautiful shot b took.

my shadow on the left sort-of looks like kokopeli.

it was beautiful out there, but, unfortunately, we didn't see much in the tide pools. we didn't see any starfish or sea urchins.

it was disappointing not to see more in the tide pools, but we did spot some new birds.

when we came back up to the street level, we even spotted a yellow-crowned kinglet.

and we learned about sir francis drake's visit to the area.
