one of the true highlights of our vacation was our first night on the boat. we docked and set up camp, waiting for the flying foxes to come out.
as mentioned previously, the captain was fishing off the back of the boat. you can see the nice fish he caught.
w enjoyed watching him fish.
not sure why s is making a pouty face. maybe she wanted to be the one fishing.
the sunset was beautiful. as you'll see, there were other boats moored next to us, but they weren't loud.

here, the first of the many, many flying foxes.
it started off slow.
but then there started to be more and more.
it was truly amazing seeing all of these bats flying over our heads.
and seeing them as the sun was setting felt magical.
there were thousands of them!
flying foxes can get really big--these weren't super huge, but they were good size bats.
i love this picture. i love the colors of the sky.
when the sun set, we had a full, bright moon (a true terang bulan). it started off this fantastic shade of yellow.
the reflection on the water was so cool.
our delicious dinner, which included cumi (squid), which is a new favorite of mine.

I'm enjoyin' looking out these pictures. You got some really nice ones. They help me remember the awe and amazement I felt when I witnessed these views. I look forward to reading the script you add to the pics.
