Police at the Mall

From among the three avid and casual followers of this blog, some will remember the evening a few weeks ago when we went to the Mexican food place called Chonayjoe (Rabbit, pronounced in Indonesian Spanish). Here are some pictures from our walk through our neighborhood and into the mall. Just some sights we thought offered varying levels of interest and fun.

On our walk out of the neighborhood, we bumped into an young man we had met a few months earlier. We recognized him immediately because he was wearing the same shirt: "No-one Cares about Your Stupid Farm." And he recognized us immediately since we're pretty conspicuous here. It was a joyful reunion and we took a picture to remember it.

As we walked toward the mall, we crossed into the next kampung over and admired a wall.

As we approached the mall, it seems like there was some military action going on. Maybe there had been a disturbance of some kind.

But no one was frantically running around, so he had S stand beside one of the huge tires on the vehicles.

There were overbuilt vehicles inside the mall too.

Turned out it was a competition or a demonstration by the police, in the assembly and taking apart of their machine guns.

You know the rest of the story already: Then we went and ate burritos.
