sunday was father's day. at least it is in america. here in indonesia it wasn't. but we celebrated it anyway.
b got up and decided to be funny by putting on my piet onthel shirt. as you can see, it's a little small on him.
the kids thought it was so funny that his shirt wouldn't stay down in the back. they kept wanting dad to get up and get a spoon so that i could get a picture of his back.
at church, we saw that our friend lily wore the new byu t-shirt we gave her. she looked great in it.
ibu dewi made tengkleng (a curried goat dish). the curry flavor is good, but we have found that tengkleng is not one our favorite dishes.
i see now what's happening in the previous picture and this one. s is happy in the previous one because it's her side of the card. she's frowning in this one because this picture shows william's side of the card.
s pointing to the picture of herself, b pointing to the picture of him, and w pointing to the pineapple he drew.
s giving to b her gift. (the piece of circular cardboard b's holding is what we used to approximate the size of our gong so we could find a good gong holder--without having to carry around our gong.)
s's got one hand by side and the other's giving a peace sign (say that with alanis morisette's song going through your head).
sierra used one of the new terong (eggplant)-shaped bells to play a song she made for b. i thought this was a very creative gift idea.
