b's batiks (the ones we have with us now anyway)

we thought it would fun to take a series of pictures of b in all of his batik shirts that we have accumulated here on this trip. here is b in his carnival of batiks.  the first one. this shirt we actually got in indonesia when we came here in 2013.

 a fun shirt we picked up at pasar klewer in solo. this one, as you'll see, has a nice fish on it. 

 this one is one of our most recent purchases. b got this at the nearby batik store that has affordable batiks. we love, love this shirt!

 this one is another one of our more recent purchases. we got this one at the nearby batik place. this one has a traditional solo or jogja style. we really like this one.

 we got this one awhile ago at pgs (a multi-story batik marketplace in solo). i really like the colors and patterns on this one.

 this one is actually from b's student tutor from byu. his tutor picked this one up in pekalongan, which is famous for it's intricate batik designs.

 this is one of the first shirts b picked up here. we love the big birds on the front.

 this is a recent purchase from the $2 rack at pgs, but somehow it doesn't seem to be factory-made cloth. it doesn't look like $2 shirts usually look. this is one of b's favorites.

 this is one of b's favorites (and i'm not just saying that; he really likes this shirt). we picked this one up at kampung laweyan. w has a shirt that looks a lot like this one. i really like the green stripe down the side--it kind of hides. 

 this is a fun motif. we got this shirt at pgs too. 

 again, another fun motif (sort-of like the one above). i think we got this one at pasar klewer. 

 a truly beautiful shirt. i love this one. we got this one at pgs too (you can tell we like pgs).

 the shirt we picked up for our friend, emron. this one is from kampung leweyan too. i love the dueling patterns.

 we picked up this shirt at the nearby batik store. i didn't realize how much i liked it until b tried it on for this photo shoot. it's so cool!

 we took this picture once we thought b was all done modelling his shirts. but then we remembered that b had more shirts! we had forgotten some shirts hanging up in the closet!

 the first shirt b bought upon our arrival to solo. this one is from pgs. 

 this is the second shirt b bought--a favorite of ours. the colors are fun, and you can't beat the cool flapping bird.

 sudah! b's couch companion, the stack of his batik shirts, is as tall as a person!

 oh wait, b has another shirt! this is his father's day gift from willie. this one is from the nearby store and lovely. good choice, w.
