a day trip to logan

we took a day trip up to logan this summer with b's parents. it was a fun day.

 it's always good to check out the high school and reenact roland's infamous throwing of a girl into the canal.

quick trip to bend in september

i went back out to bend, oregon for a quick weekend trip in september. my good friend laurel's father passed away unexpectedly over the summer, and i found a really cheap ticket--so i decided to go out for the memorial service. i stayed with liz and her family but also had some good time with laurel, which was nice.

THE ECLIPSE

the total eclipse was one of the coolest experiences we've ever had. hands down. it was amazing. we went up to idaho with some friends and spent the night up there on sunday. we drove home on monday afterwards (if i was to do it again, i'd come home on tuesday). traffic was bad, but never once did i think it wasn't worth experiencing the total eclipse. 

the cooler temps, the darkness, being able to look at the sun without the glasses. it was so awesome.
