i woke up this morning to a cold house. it was at 66 degrees, then it went down to 65, and finally it got down to 64. at that point i turned on the heater. so i guess it is indeed no longer summer.

It's been raining for two weeks here, and it doesn't look like it's going to let up. So it's not my favorite way to ring in the fall. The leaves are changing early, though, and probably the all the rain will make them extra brilliant.
Send it my way PLEASE. All we've had is rain, rain, and more rain. That doesn't mean cooler temps either. Love the pic of the tree. Oh, I miss fall. It's my favorite season and I haven't seen it in 7 years.
If I had my way, the heat wouldn't go on until the thermostat hit 52 degrees. Happy Fall!
It was 90 degrees today--with what felt like 100% humidity. We're getting lots of rain--I heard that its so much rain that it may cause the colors to not be vibrant. Or maybe its just the leaves are always wet and there's no sun to pick up the colors in the leaves. : )
