...do not naturally have a name

brian and i went out into am fork canyon and had a nice time seeing the wilds of utah nature. we saw a moose staying cool in the cool, cool water. we also saw a few ground squirrels...which was a surprise to me since i thought we had left squirrels behind back east. we also enjoyed the beautfiul mountain vistas, and as always enjoyed the non-living natural scenery too (ie the rocks).
you can see for yourself how lovely it is here.

Welcome to the blogosphere! Aren't meese cool? (meese should be the pl. of moose--goose => geese, why not moose => meese? I've heard some explanation about moose being an Algonkian word and it being a collective plural or something, but I don't buy it. They spelled it moose, very similar to goose.) One of my fondest memories from Boy Scouts is when a big bull moose charged my canoe. Fortunately we were in pretty deep water and we paddled swiftly away. How are you guys?

Aaron, hopefully you and Katy, if you can manage the trip to Maine, will be charged by another moose in deep water. And, of course, you'll paddle swiftly away. Be sure to bring your camera so you can make your own meese posting.

Hurray!! I'm so happy you started a blog! And I'm jealous of your moose filled adventures. Which is what blogs are great for, subtle competition to prove who has a cooler life or, I mean, staying in touch :) But I'm happy this post can help motivate Aaron to tear himself away from his beloved office and go canoing with me.
